Maybe your journey to get here was long and filled with unexpected barriers. You may have had to overcome obstacles, learning grace and courage along the way. In the process, we hope you learned to balance life and all that comes with it. Your hard work and dedication are awe-inspiring.
The faculty, staff, and administrators at Atlantic Cape have been proud to walk alongside you during your time here. And now, we're overjoyed to cheer you on as you walk away and on to the next phase of your life. We're grateful you made Atlantic Cape a part of your journey. Every one of you has written a chapter in your lives that shows you can adjust, persevere, grow, and make a positive difference in your own lives and the lives of others. These character strengths are fuel for your next success - and the many we know you will accomplish after that.

Ceremony Information
The graduation ceremony included remarks from Atlantic Cape President Dr. Barbara Gaba, keynote speaker James F. Allen, Student Government Association President Angeles Caesar Sanchez Lara, and high honors student Fredy Gerardo Flores.

Mr. Allen’s highly successful career in the hospitality and gaming industry was propelled by his education at Atlantic Cape, and we believe his story of success will resonate with the Class of 2022. We are thrilled to award him an Honorary Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Hospitality Management.
Jim Allen's Work Philosophy
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelict. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
Maturity is the ability to handle frustration, control anger, and settle differences without violence or destruction.
Maturity is patience. It is the willingness to pass up the immediate pleasure or profit in favor of the long-term goal.
Maturity is perseverance: sweating out a project or a situation in spite of opposition and discouraging setbacks.
Maturity is the ability to display grace and poise when under pressure.
Maturity is the capacity to face unpleasantness and disappointment without becoming bitter.
Maturity is the gift of remaining calm in the face of chaos.
Maturity is the ability to disagree without being disagreeable.
Maturity is humility. A mature person is able to say, “I was wrong.” He is also able to say, “I am sorry.” And when he is proven right, he does not have to say, “I told you so.”
Maturity is the ability to make a decision, to act on that decision, and to accept full responsibility for the outcome.
Maturity means dependability, integrity, keeping one’s word. The immature have excuses for everything. Their lives are a maze of broken promises, unfinished business, and former friends.
Maturity is the ability to live in peace with that which we cannot change.
