Human Resources will acknowledge retirees for their longstanding commitment to Atlantic Cape, its mission, and its students.
- Criteria to qualify as a retired employee:
- Employee will make a reasonable effort to submit their written intent to retire six months before retirement.
- Submit an application for retirement benefits in accordance with State of New Jersey Division of Pension and Benefits at least three months prior to retirement date.
- Human Resources
- Maintains a current email address for college wide information shared to faculty, staff, and community.
- Coordinates with the Board of Trustees Secretary a Resolution acknowledgement of years of service and contributions to the college community.
- Coordinates with retiree to attend Board of Trustees meeting to officially commemorate and acknowledge retirement.
- Coordinates with Board Secretary to ensure that a signed official Resolution and along with a preferred college parking pass is sent to retirees.
- Provides assistance with the retirement application and benefit process.
- Available services and facilities:
- A discount at the college bookstore will be available to the retiree upon presentation of college I.D.
- Special arrangements for use of other facilities may be requested through Human Resources as long as it does not conflict with current offerings or college policies and procedures of the college.
