Atlantic Cape's Virtual Graduation was held on June 9 at 7 p.m.
The ceremony was streamed live through YouTube, Facebook, and on this website.
This unique ceremony included all the pomp and circumstance of a traditional ceremony. The ceremony included remarks from Atlantic Cape president, Dr. Barbara Gaba, former Atlantic Cape student Dr. Natasha Corbitt, Student Government Association President Joelle Motley and high honors student Charlene Acevedo. Dr. Natasha Corbitt is the country’s first African-American female pediatric surgeon with a double doctorate: both an M.D. and Ph.D and only the 16th Black woman to become a pediatric surgeon in the United States.

In addition to speeches, the ceremony included the reading of all graduates’ names, academic programs, honors and degrees, and a customized slide for each student on which the graduates shared a quote, a photo and a 12-second video.
