Advanced and Continuous Studies

Spring Registration Callout

The A.S. in Advanced and Continuous Studies is a 3+1 program that aligns with existing degree programs offered by Atlantic Cape. Before enrolling in this program, students will complete an associate’s degree in a chosen discipline at Atlantic Cape and then enroll in this second associate's degree program, where they will complete an additional 30 credits in the chosen discipline track.  All 90 credits earned at Atlantic Cape will be transferred towards a baccalaureate degree at a partner college or university.

This is a highly customizable degree program to enable our students to complete their third year toward a bachelor's degree at the community college tuition rate.

To apply, visit www.atlantic.edu/apply and select the 3+1 Application.

To create your customized program, contact department chair, Dr. Beth Sanders-Rabinowitz.

Upon Completion of this program students will be able to:

  • Apply written, oral, and visual communication skills appropriate for the chosen academic discipline, civic environment and workplace setting;
  • Adopt a method of inquiry, appropriate to both the discipline and the academic level, to draw conclusions based on verifiable evidence;
  • Exhibit competency in the application of technology and information literacy appropriate to the discipline;
  • Examine and explain ethical issues and situations as applicable to the specific discipline, civic environment and the employment setting;
  • Identify the importance of global perspective and culturally diverse peoples.
