Kramer Beverage’s Kramer Cares Organization Donates Business Attire to Atlantic Cape’s Campus Closet Initiative

MAYS LANDING — Hammonton-based Kramer Beverage and its Kramer Cares Organization conducted a month-long clothing drive in April to support Atlantic Cape Community College’s Campus Closet. Christina Dunleavy, operations administrator, personally delivered lightly-worn men’s and women’s business casual attire and footwear to the Mays Landing campus on June 11.

The Kramer Cares Organization, which was created in 2020 in memory of Kramer Beverage President Mark Kramer’s mother, Lynn, who passed away in 2020, conducts various employee-driven clothing drives throughout the year to support various local community nonprofit organizations.

“Each year we give everyone an opportunity to bring an initiative to the table that would be of interest to the group to take part in,” said Dunleavy, who earned an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Atlantic Cape in 2008. “We are all excited to be able to donate and be a part of that one piece of wardrobe that someone might benefit from because we have all been in that position of going for that first job.”

Atlantic Cape’s Campus Closet provides lightly-worn professional clothes from men’s business suits, shirts, pants, ties and shoes to women’s dresses, skirts, blouses, jackets, shoes and accessories for students currently enrolled at Atlantic Cape. In today’s ultra-competitive job market, it is important to dress for success. The Campus Closet is available for students in need of casual business attire for professional job interviews, and for class presentations, events and various college-related activities as well.

Kramer Cares has provided clothing donations over the past four years to organizations, such as the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and the Hope Foundation, adopted local families in need of gifts during the Christmas holiday season, and worked with Toys for Tots and the Ronald McDonald House charities as well. Kramer Cares will also be hosting its first charity car show on June 22 to raise funds for the John R. Elliot HERO Walk & 5K.

“This is a year-long commitment with community service and outreach because we know that everybody needs something sometimes and we just want the community to know that Kramer Beverage cares,” said Dunleavy. “If there are any local nonprofit organizations that may need donations or any type of assistance, they can always reach out to us to see how we can help them.”

The Campus Closet is located in room G-223 on the second floor of the Student Center (G Building) on the Mays Landing campus. A dressing room is also available in room G-217. Hours of operation will resume in September, but donations are still being accepted throughout the summer.
