CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Time is running out to participate in the 2023 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble ‘FORE’ Scholarships Golf Tournament on Friday, October 13 at Cape May National Golf Club. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by a scramble format, with a shotgun-start at 11:30 a.m.
Individuals and businesses may support the event through sponsorship and advertising opportunities ranging from $200 to $5,000. Player fees are $175 per person or $600 per team of four. Highlights of the day include a scramble format, tasty boxed lunch from Bill’s Corner Deli, beverage and snack stations on the course, skills challenges, specialty cocktail bar sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, giveaways, prizes for the top seven tournament winners, 50/50 cash and merchandise raffles and a barbeque-style after party provided by S&H Southern Cuisine.
This year’s extensive list of generous community supporters includes Presenting Sponsor, Cape May National Golf Club; Dean's List Sponsor, Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind; Honors Sponsors, Atlantic City Electric, Crest Wealth Management and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351; Hospitality Sponsors, Kisby Shore Corp. and Tito’s Handmade Vodka; and Tee Gift Sponsor, Cooper Levenson.
Last year’s tournament raised over $67,000 for student aid. Proceeds from this year's event will support scholarships for Atlantic Cape students pursuing programs in the sciences, particularly environmental science and biology. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will support equipment and programming for Atlantic Cape faculty and students at the Cape May Point Science Center, which plans to offer science education programs in partnership with Atlantic Cape.
Since the tournament’s debut in 2006, more than $665,000 has been raised to benefit students attending Atlantic Cape Community College.
