MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College received a generous $10,000 donation from Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino during an Atlantic Cape Alumni Association networking event on Friday, January 27 at The Yard at Bally’s Atlantic City.
“Bally’s Atlantic City is always looking for ways to make a meaningful impact in the local community,” Bally’s Atlantic City General Manager Michael Monty said. “We have been able to forge a partnership with Atlantic Cape over the past few years and we are happy to make a donation to meet the needs of Atlantic Cape’s students through scholarships and technology.”
The donation, benefiting the students of Atlantic Cape’s Nursing and Health Science Programs, was made possible by funds raised during last October’s annual “Pink Your Drink” campaign, which was held at Bally’s. Atlantic Cape was selected as a beneficiary thanks to the college’s dedication to graduating highly-skilled and caring nurses, who move on to medical careers in Atlantic and Cape May counties.
“We are so grateful for the very generous support from Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino to Atlantic Cape’s Nursing and Health career programs,” said Atlantic Cape Foundation Executive Director Jean McAlister. “This is just one example of the support these wonderful organizations provide for students attending Atlantic Cape. They are truly making a difference in our community.”
