Atlantic Cape Center for Accessibility recognizes the road to Global Accessibility Awareness Day, which officially takes place on May 19. This annual event’s purpose is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion, and the more than one billion people with disabilities/impairments.
In previous years, the CFA has held assistive technology showcase events to provide education and experience. In 2019, the CFA participated in the Follow-the-Sun series of webinars, hosted by Blackboard, promoting accessibility in education at all levels and all across the globe.
This year, try these activities:
- Go mouseless. Unplug your mouse and only use your keyboard (tab/shift tab, arrow keys, enter and spacebar) to navigate and interact with your favorite websites and applications.
- Review the videos at https://www.w3.org/WAI/perspective-videos/
