Atlantic Cape’s Center for Accessibility (CFA) partnered with the Atlantic Center for Independent Living (ACIL) to offer no cost life skills workshops on March 30 and April 5 and 7. Topics covered included social media safety, social skills, and stress management.

These workshops encouraged and empowered Atlantic Cape CFA students to confidently navigate the world. Various forms of communication were explored. Students learned the benefits of greater self-awareness through an interpersonal skills self-assessment.

The ACIL provides a wide variety of independent living services for our local community. Atlantic Cape CFA students benefited both from the content of the workshops and the introduction to this valuable community partnership, which can lead to additional individual support services and self-empowerment.

ACIL offers disability services to help students take on the challenges they face.Transition services are offered to help young adult students through this important phase of their lives.  Peer support groups are also available.
