MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College will celebrate the achievements of the class of 2022 during a ceremony on Thursday, May 19 at the Mays Landing campus.

The 55th annual Atlantic Cape Commencement returns to a traditional in-person ceremony after two years of modified events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the first time, all graduation events will occur in the Quad of the Mays Landing campus.

More than 800 Atlantic Cape students are invited to receive their diplomas during this year's commencement ceremony.

James Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming, will be the keynote speaker. Allen, a Mainland Regional High School graduate who attended Atlantic Cape, will be presented with an Honorary Associate in Applied Science degree in Hospitality Management in recognition of his accomplishments and commitment to the Atlantic City region and Atlantic Cape Community College’s students.

Thanks to funding through the federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, this year’s graduates will have the cost of their caps and gowns covered.

Students who have not yet done so must apply for graduation by April 29 by logging into their Self Service account, clicking on “Graduation Overview” and then on “Graduation Application.”

In addition, ceremonies for the students graduating from the Academy of Culinary Arts and the Nursing program will be recognized in separate ceremonies on May 18.
