The Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees conducted their monthly meeting Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Worthington Atlantic City Campus. The following motions were approved:
Academics
- Offering the Microsoft Office Credentials Professional Series effective Fall 2022;
- Offering the Infant/Toddler Credential Professional Series effective Fall 2022;
- Offering the Bookkeeper Credentials Professional Series effective Fall 2022;
- Termination of the Microsoft Office Specialist Professional Series program effective Spring 2022.
Grant Activity
- Application and, if awarded, acceptance of up to $3,000,000 over three years from the National Science Foundation through the Racial Equity in STEM (Racial Equity) Grant;
- Acceptance of $211,095 from the federal government through Congressionally Directed Spending to support the Cape May County BizHub.

Financial Matters
- Accepted the FY21 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report as presented by Bowman & Company LLP. The independent audit firm will be issuing an unmodified or “clean” opinion for the financial statements, and there were no audit findings.
- FY21 Financial Statement for twelve months ended June 30, 2021.
- FY22 Financial Statement for eight months ended Feb. 28, 2022.
Other Business
- Granting JoAnne Barbieri the rank of Professor Emerita after serving Atlantic Cape for over 40 years as a professor in the Office Systems Technology Program;
- Adoption of the Strategic Plan 2022-2026;
- Recognition of April 2022 as Community College Month;
- Recognition of the college being recertified with 2022 Leader College status from Achieving the Dream (ATD);
- Honorary commendation of the Buccaneers Men’s Basketball team for their perseverance, success, and leadership; congratulating them for a successful season; and offering each athlete best wishes in their future endeavors.
The next meeting of the Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 26, 2022, at the Mays Landing campus.
