Duties: |
- Reports to the Assistant Director of Paramedic and EMT Training
- Adheres to the National Standard curriculum for all lesson planning and instruction
- Instructs, coordinates, lectures and facilitates the associated skill labs
- Prepares materials in advance for classroom and scenario lab instruction
- Oversees and facilitates use of scenario lab computer, Sim Pads and manikins
- Oversees and instructs students’ scenario lab practice and/or skills testing
- Debriefs students’ scenarios
- Identifies and access students cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills that are necessary to function as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
- Manages classroom activities, grades, and attendance
- Provides guidance and problem solving regarding student behavior and performance issues
- Refers students for appropriate services
- Evaluates students to determine intervention needs
- Maintains student confidentiality
- Related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: |
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Certified New Jersey Paramedic or Registered Nurse with current New Jersey MICN certification or licensed physician with emergency medical services
- Knowledge of the National Standard Curriculum requirements for NREMT-P exam
- Teaching experience preferred
- Ability to instruct didactic, scenario and skills labs
- NREMT-P certification preferred
- Instructor certifications preferred (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS)
- Proficient in in all forms of computer technology
- Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint
- good communication skills.
