Additional Giving Opportunities

The unique and unpredictable challenges that have unfolded as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have had a huge impact on our immediate area and beyond. In an effort to help alleviate the hardships experienced by Atlantic Cape students, the Atlantic Cape Foundation has established two emergency funds.  Emergency assistance will help with urgent requests for financial support related to food insecurity, healthcare, childcare, housing and transportation.

The General Student Emergency Fund will assist students in all majors who have suddenly been faced with economic hardships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Additionally, the Nursing and Health Professions Student Emergency Fund was created to support students who are enrolled in those critical programs.   Your contributions are greatly appreciated!

Planned gifts can be directed to a wide variety of programs and projects at Atlantic Cape Community College. The Atlantic Cape Foundation can help you determine which giving opportunity best supports your vision for the future. Your tax and legal professionals can provide you with the advice you will need to determine which method is the most suitable for your financial situation.  Please visit our Planned Giving page for a breakdown of long-term giving opportunities to determine which option is best for you.

Atlantic Cape employees can designate a portion of their paycheck to be withheld as a donation to the Atlantic Cape Foundation. To initiate your payroll deduction, please complete the Payroll Deduction Pledge Form and return it to Human Resources. If you have questions about the payroll deduction process, please contact Jean McAlister, Chief of Staff/Chief Advancement Officer, at (609) 343-4901 or mcaliste@atlanticcape.edu, or Chris Mularz, Advancement Officer, at (609) 463-3651 or cmularz@atlanticcape.edu.

You may find it more advantageous to give your gift in stock - especially appreciated securities - instead of cash, because you can save on income and capital gains taxes. Current tax laws make it possible for you to donate a charitable gift of stock at a remarkably low after-tax cost. You pay no capital gains tax upon the transfer of stock to the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation. You also receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift (assuming you have held the stock for longer than twelve months). For regularly traded stocks, the charitable deduction is determined by using the average of the high and low price on the date of the gift.

Your gifts of real estate, equipment, artwork, books, and other non-cash items are considered gifts of personal property. Your deduction will depend on the appraised value and how Atlantic Cape Community College will use the item.

The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation has numerous naming opportunities across our three campuses. The college has a range of options available such as creating a named scholarship, naming an existing building, endowing an academic program, or naming a prominent public area. Please contact Jean McAlister, Chief of Staff/Chief Advancement Officer, at (609) 343-4901 or mcaliste@atlanticcape.edu, or Chris Mularz, Advancement Officer, at (609) 463-3651 or cmularz@atlanticcape.edu, to discuss what naming opportunity may be right for you or your organization.

You might have the opportunity to make an even greater impact with your gift to the Atlantic Cape Foundation by taking advantage of your employer’s matching gift program!  Contact your employer's Human Resources Department to determine if they have a matching gifts program.  Matching gift programs can double and sometimes triple a person's charitable contribution.

Cryptocurrency is accepted as a method of payment and we will utilize a 3rd party vendor with the lowest conversion rate to immediately convert from a cryptocurrency donation to cash donation.
