Duties: |
- Reports to the Director of Academic Support Services
- Provides information literacy instruction to students through in-person or online classes, LibGuides, tutorials, tours and collaborative efforts with faculty and staff
- Provides reference services in both traditional and digital environments, including social media
- Collection development of print and electronic resources to support the information needs of the college community
- Works collaboratively with library staff, faculty and administrators to maximize student success
- Processes interlibrary loan materials
- Searches county, state and worldwide cataloging databases for materials
- Assists in library website maintenance
- Assists patrons in use of library equipment, copiers, computers, etc.
- Assists students, staff, and faculty with document imaging using scanner and pdf files
- Develops innovative instructional materials
- Advises and assists the director in the planning, assessment and implementation of academic support services and resources
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: |
- Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution
- Experience in an academic library setting, including the delivery of information literacy instruction
- Ability to empathize with and tailor library services to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
- Proven ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Enthusiasm for emerging library technologies and teaching
- Experience with online education
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive software

This position is shared between the Mays Landing Campus and Atlantic City campus, but requires flexible scheduling to include evenings, weekends, and duties at any Atlantic Cape location. |
