Board of Trustees Recognizes Atlantic Cape Employee of the Year Tom DiPietro, Approves Bids and Submission for U.S. Department of Education Grant
The Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees conducted their monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 28, at the Mays Landing Campus. The following resolutions were approved.


Contracts and Purchases:

  • Bid Ex. 842 Ellucian Professional Services, Ellucian, Fairfax, VA, $99,500.00.
  • Bid Ex. 843 Fixed Wing Aircraft Lease, Christiansen Aviation, Inc., Tulsa, OK, $26,880.00 (minimum).
  • Bid Ex. 844 WIFI Replacement - HPE Aruba Wireless, Turn-Key Technologies, Inc., Sayreville, NJ, $220,556.00.

 

In Grant Activity:
  • Submission of an application to the U.S. Department of Education for the Student Support Services Program for an anticipated grant totaling $336,234 per year over five years, over the anticipated term of July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2025.
 
In Personnel Matters, the Board Approved:
  • The appointment of Jamal Edwards, Athletic Director, as of January 2, 2020.
  • The appointment of Robert Kusmiesz, Program Coordinator, Health Professions Institute, effective January 29, 2020.
  • The appointment of John Piazza, Sr., Chief Information Officer, effective on or before March 2, 2020.
  • The salary adjustment for Laura Batchelor, Executive Director Marketing and College Relations effective January 29, 2020.
  • The extension for Rachel Dieterly, Full-time temporary Lab Assistant, STEM, retroactive to January 4, 2020, through June 30, 2020.
  • The reclassification of Tom DiPietro, Working Grounds Foreman I to Working Grounds Foreman II, effective January 29, 2020.
  • The reclassification of Terri-Lynn Hamby, Assistant Director Lab Sciences, to Director Lab Sciences, effective January 29, 2020.
  • Recognition congratulating Mr. Thomas DiPietro on becoming Atlantic Cape’s 2020 Employee of the Year.

 

In Financial Matters, the Board:
  • Accepted the draft (as of 1/16/2020) Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the Fiscal Year ended 6/30/2019 presented by Bowman and Company, LLP.
  • Approved the FY19 Financial Statement for twelve months ended June 30, 2019.
  • Approved the FY20 Financial Statement for six months ended December 31, 2019. 
The next meeting of the Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at the Mays Landing Campus.
