Provides administrative support for Enrollment Services and Admissions. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for students and prospective students, parents, and the community in relation to transcript evaluation and processing.

Duties:
  • Reports to the Director, Admissions and Recruitment
  • Monitors and handles transcript requests and degree verification using the National Student Clearinghouse and college’s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
  • Logs and evaluates official transcripts ensuring proper transfer credit in accordance to student degree program in timeline prescribed
  • Evaluates transcripts for students transferring to/from Atlantic Cape and makes timely recommendations on acceptance of credits and placement
  • Maintains close working relationships with department chairs/faculty/deans and provides recommendations on decisions regarding transfer credit and PLA
  • Coordinates the Nursing program and other special admission program application entrance processes
  • Monitors general email accounts for the offices of Enrollment Services and Admissions and provides appropriate responses and follow up
  • Processes chargeback authorizations for both incoming and outgoing students
  • Provides registration support to students enrolling online through self service
  • Works with other departments and faculty to assist students
  • Maintains the filing and retention schedule of all documents related to student records, permanent and temporary
  • Enters and maintains equivalency information on the management information system (MIS) including updating course equivalency tables
  • Provides updates to students on transcript processing status
  • Approves prerequisites of transfer/transient students for registration
  • Maintains student transfer information on the college website
  • Represents Admissions on matters of transfer credit evaluation
  • Participates in the college’s recruitment efforts
  • Processes “Permission to Take Courses at Another College” forms
  • Utilizes Colleague and Recruit software to maintain accurate student records and communications
  • Verifies batch levels in imaging system to ensure that documents are being efficiently attached to student records
  • Scans student record documents into the imaging system and links them to individual student records
  • Complies with subpoena requests for student record documents as received from the Dean’s office
  • Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associates degree
  • Minimum of one year experience in higher education admissions, enrollment management or student services
  • Experience working with Ellucian Colleague management information system preferred
  • Technology skills to include Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Superb customer service skills
This position requires flexible scheduling to include evening and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
