The Culinary Recruiter reports to the Director of Admissions. In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, the Culinary Recruiter seeks recruitment opportunities supporting college enrollment goals and showcasing all Atlantic Cape programs with a primary focus on the Academy of Culinary Arts (ACA).

Duties:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the culinary recruitment program using demographic profiles to support the Academy of Culinary Arts enrollment goals.
  • Visits high schools, culinary shows, college fairs, community events and other potential recruitment locations to inform the public about the offerings of the ACA.
  • Schedules and hosts the ACA Open Houses and other visitation programs for potential culinary students.
  • Promotes articulation agreements with regional vocational schools.
  • Seeks recruitment opportunities that would increase the number of minority or underserved populations within the ACA.
  • Provides Admissions counseling to prospective applicants and assists students in completing forms necessary for admission and enrollment.
  • Coordinates recruitment efforts with ACA faculty members and alumni
  • Qualifies inquiries and makes follow-up contact by telephone and/or direct mail..
  • Maintains appropriate records in documenting student contacts and provides the Admissions Office with timely reports.
  • Prepares recruitment reports as requested; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in the culinary/hospitality field.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent ability to communicate in written and oral form.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work day, evening or weekend hours as required.
  • Extensive travel required and may have overnight assignments.

    Preferred:

    Bachelor’s degree.

    One to three years experience in college admissions or recruitment

    Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague.

Note: This position requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape locations.
