Instructors, Work Readiness & Remediation (Summer Youth Program)

Duties:
  • Reports to the Director of Workforce Development
  • Presents a positive attitude to Summer Youth Program participants at all times
  • Provides instruction as directed and uses effective teaching methods
  • Assists with program drop off, pick up and after care as assigned
  • Ensures the safety of Summer Youth Program participants
  • Maintains academic standards of quality
  • Represents Atlantic Cape and Workforce Development at internal and external events
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Topic Areas:

  • Ability to provide remediation in math and reading.
  • Present workshops (curriculum is provided) in communication skills, diversity training, entrepreneurship skills, financial literacy, interviewing skills, resume development, and workplace harassment
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A valid K-12 certification with three years of experience teaching secondary education
    or three years as a professor or adjunct instructor in a community college setting.
  • Technology skills to include Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

This position requires flexible scheduling and duties at any Atlantic Cape campus and other locations related to the delivery of Workforce Development Programs
