Admissions Assistant, Atlantic City Campus (PT) - Job Opportunities at Atlantic Cape

Part-time position, up to 26 hours per week. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Admissions Assistant provides support to the Admissions office. This position will serve as the primary office point of contact for students and prospective students, parents, and the community. Main duties are reception and office support functions, including but not limited to answering phones, processing the mail, and other types of inquiries for Admissions.

Duties:
  • Provides support for the Assistant Director of Admissions, Recruiters and Admissions Office Staff.
  • Assists with the preparation, setup, and coordination of events.
  • Creates and maintains Open House and special program event reports
  • Provides support for events on and off campus (i.e. high school visits, college fairs, open houses)
  • Enters applications for admission into Recruit.
  • Processes tuition chargeback requests
  • Processes incoming high school and college transcripts with the Colleague system
  • Serves potential and current students by providing front counter, email, and phone support.
  • Oversees the scanning and linking of all incoming student records to ImageNow.
  • Assists students with online accounts (i.e. WebAdvisor, Buccaneer E-mail, Blackboard, etc.)
  • Processes purchase orders for the office.
  • Assists with entering office work orders.
  • Assists with the scheduling of rooms for events and meetings.
  • Opens and distributes office mail.
  • Helps coordinate office mailings to prospective students.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and campus recruitment materials.
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma. Associate’s preferred.
  • Experience in Higher Education setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent ability to communicate in written and oral form.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Superb customer service skills.
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work day, evening or weekend hours as required.
  • Strong computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague preferred.

This position requires flexible scheduling to include some evenings and weekend duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
