The 2018 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble “Fore” Scholarships golf tournament is planned for Friday, Oct. 12, at the Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May. Partnering with the Atlantic Cape Foundation, CMNGC will host the tournament to support student scholarships and Foundation operations.

The tournament will follow a scramble format, beginning with a shotgun-start at 11:30 a.m. Player fees, which include a complimentary gift, lunch and awards dinner, are $150 per person and $500 per foursome. Golfers can participate in a variety of skills challenges, including closest-to-the-pin and longest drive contests. Individuals and businesses can also support the event through sponsorship opportunities ranging from $125 to $5,000. Last year’s tournament raised over $40,000 for student aid and Foundation operations.

Located on Route 9 near renowned Victorian Cape May, and centrally located along one of the world’s most famous bird migration flyways, Cape May National has been recognized as one of the most naturally beautiful courses in the United States.

Atlantic Cape established the Foundation in 1978 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity to build a broad base of financial support for its programs and services. Foundation members are drawn from local industry and small businesses and represent a broad cross-section of active leaders in the community. The Foundation has raised more than $5 million for scholarships, Foundation operations and to enhance academic programs and the campus environment. Annually, the Foundation provides nearly $500,000 for institutional scholarships, grants and emergency help.
