Atlantic Cape Community College has been selected as part of New Jersey's “Community College Opportunity Grant," a pilot program that provides 'free' tuition and fees for qualifying students.   If your adjusted gross income is under $45,000, you are taking six or more credits in Spring 2019, and have applied for federal and state aid– then you may be eligible for this grant.

The free community college program at Atlantic Cape Community College is for students with an adjusted gross income of $45,000 or less who takes six or more credits and have applied for federal and state grant aid. This program will cover the remainder of their balance of tuition and educational fees starting for the Spring 2019 semester. If you are a returning student, you currently must meet minimum standards for academic performance and academic progress. This grant allows students to supplement any additional financial aid they receive to cover all of their tuition and educational fees with the goal of having zero dollars in debt. Current students who have already completed a financial aid application for the fall 2018 semester will be automatically considered for Community College Opportunity Grant eligibility if they enroll at Atlantic Cape for at least six credits in the spring 2019 semester. 

Interested students who have not yet filed for financial aid for academic year 2018-19 will have until Feb. 15, 2019 to apply for Community College Opportunity Grant awards by completing the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid and the supplemental New Jersey state questions (FAFSA Online), or by completing the Alternative Application for New Jersey Dreamers.

This grant is good for any credit classes, including credit classes with the Academy of Culinary Arts.
