Duties:	Reports to the Director, Science Laboratories Maintains and cleans laboratory glassware, equipment, cabinets, shelves, animal cages, etc. Preps laboratory carts; ensures labs are clean and supplies are in lab in advance of start time; make preparations for visiting groups Care of living specimens Keeps labs, prep areas, stock rooms and greenhouse areas organized and in good condition for efficient and safe use Maintains lab inventory Meets with supervisor and co-workers to discuss daily procedures, issues and ideas Reports problems to the director Meets with faculty to identify their laboratory needs Monitors security of lab equipment Related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:	Associate’s degree in a science field. Science lab experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of science lab equipment, materials and safety practices. Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail Able to lift 70 pounds, and use step ladder or ladder and climb 3 flights of stairs. Computer literacy. Able to handle dissection and living specimens. Reliable transportation. Valid driver’s license.
	This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location. Position open until filled.
