Position Summary: The College Recruiter reports to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment. The College Recruiter identifies and represents the college at recruitment events, assists prospective students with the enrollment process, including applying for financial aid, selecting classes, assisting with support services and registration. This is a part-time position, up to 26 hours per week

Duties:
  • Responsible for a recruitment territory and facilitate appropriate targeted outreach efforts to support the enrollment goals of the college.
  • Serve on project teams that enhance the development of internal processes that impact recruitment, admission and retention of students.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Atlantic Cape programs and the programs of competing institutions.
  • Receive visitors and disseminate prepared educational materials.
  • Prepare and present recruiting and information programs to high school students.
  • Visits high schools, vocational schools, culinary shows, college fairs, community events and other potential recruitment locations to inform the public about the offerings of Atlantic Cape.
  • Schedules and hosts Open House, Virtual Information Sessions, and other related events within designated program focus.
  • Performs Culinary demonstrations at events when appropriate
  • Promotes articulation agreements with regional vocational schools
  • Contact and correspond with high school counselors for onsite visits.
  • Follow up with prospective students to complete application files.
  • Input, maintain, retrieve and ensure accuracy of data for Enrollment Services including online inquiries, prospect cards and other forms of communication via CRM Recruit.
  • Participate in cross-training through Enrollment Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate degree, and/or certificate in Hot Foods or Baking and Pastry or equivalent experience in the culinary field
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Excellent ability to communicate in written and oral form
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Availability to work day, evening or weekend hours as required
  • Extensive travel required and may have overnight assignments

 Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One to three years’ experience in college admissions or recruitment
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague
  • Knowledge of CRM Recruit

Terms of Employment:

  • This position requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
