This is a part-time up to 24 hours per week position. Grant-funded position, scheduled to expire on or before June 30, 2020. Current Atlantic Cape full- time or part-time employees and students are not eligible for consideration, per grant guidelines. General Description: Reporting to the Director of Instructional Technology, assists CTE faculty responsible for designing and teaching CTE online courses in measuring and evaluating “best practices” in successful delivery of online instruction and mastery of CTE course competencies.

Duties:
  • Provides online course guidance to CTE faculty
  •  Serves as CTE faculty support to ensure online students in a CTE courses are making meaningful progress
  • Partners closely with CTE faculty to provide academic engagement strategies for successful student outcomes
  • Supports CTE faculty in their online instruction planning and progress evaluation
  • Committed to helping CTE faculty find success in their online delivery methods 
  • Evaluates CTE online courses and provides guidance for enhancement to course design and content delivery 
  • Makes recommendations regarding course design and instruction delivery options appropriate to various types of CTE online learners
  • Communicates bi-weekly with CTE faculty regarding students’ academic progress
  • Helps identify CTE student learning strengths and weaknesses, and identifies resources to aid in their success
  • Partners with CTE faculty in building supportive online learning environments and “best practices” to produce successful student outcomes at the completion of the CTE course(s)
  • Analyzes student performance data at the completion of the CTE course(s) to determine effectiveness of proposed instructional course design and required mastery of CTE course competencies
  • Provides monthly time and effort logs to the Director of Instructional Technology
  • Works closely with CTE faculty to ensure and support academic integrity
  • Ensures compliance and confidentiality with all College policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties, as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum two-three years’ experience in teaching in an online environment
  • Experience with instructional theory, design and practice
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with computer-based training software and current learning management system (Blackboard Learn 9) as well as demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office products and Google
  • Demonstrated knowledge of coaching skills necessary to keep CTE students engaged in online learning strategies
  • Strong communication skills, as well as problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and reliably meet project deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, faculty, staff and administrators
  • Knowledge of copyright and trademark rules when suggesting course content delivery methods
  • Adherence to accessibility best practices with all course content
  • Ability to work from home and available for travel in support of College requirements
