This is a part time position, up to 26 hours per week. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, the ACA Enrollment Navigator represents the college at recruitment events, identifies and assists prospective students with the enrollment process, including application, completion of the financial aid process, course selection, registration and referrals for support services

  • Reports to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment
  • Provides One-Stop service for potential students interested in the Culinary Arts program
  • Assists in the development and implementation of culinary recruitment programs using demographic profiles to support the ACA enrollment goals
  • Visits high schools, vocational schools, culinary shows, college fairs, community events and other potential recruitment locations to publicize offerings of the ACA
  • Schedules and hosts the ACA Open Houses and other programs for potential culinary students
  • Facilitates culinary demonstrations at events as needed
  • Identifies and participates in regional culinary events
  • Knowledgeable on articulation agreements with regional vocational schools
  • Seeks recruitment opportunities to increase the number of ACA students from minority or underserved populations
  • Collaborates with the Financial Aid office to remain current of financial aid processes and opportunities
  • Collaborates with the Center for Student Success, the Business office and the Center for Accessibility to remain current of the enrollment process and support services
  • Coordinates recruitment efforts with ACA faculty and alumni
  • Qualifies inquiries and makes follow-up contacts by email, telephone and/or direct mail
  • Utilizes Colleague and Recruit software to maintain accurate student records and communications
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate degree (preferably in Culinary Arts)
  • Experience working in the culinary industry
  • Recruitment or sales experience
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague preferred
  • Wears culinary uniform at recruitment events
  • Extensive travel required which may include overnight assignments
  • Requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends with duties at any Atlantic Cape location
