Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces with Watercolor

Sister Celeste will lead a workshop focusing on the negative spaces of a watercolor painting. This workshop will help you improve your drawing and painting skills by focusing on the space between and around the objects (negative space) rather than the objects themselves (the positive space). This will be accomplished through a series of exercises. Sister Celeste Mokrzycki, SSJ, has a BA in Art and has taken classes at PAFA. She honed her knowledge of design and watercolor painting with many fine artists including Eli Rosenthal, Tony Couch, and Jim McFarlane. Presently, she is a co-director of Vocations for the Sisters of Saint Joseph, and teaches several adult watercolor classes in Brigantine and Philadelphia. (Participants must be 18 years or older.)
