Fall 2018 Baking and Pastry Workshops

Basic Buttercream Bootcamp

Have you always wanted to learn how to pipe fabulous buttercream decorations? If so, then this is the course for you! Each week you will learn how to create different types of buttercream designs as well as learn how to apply proper coloring techniques. During the last week students apply their skills and decorate cupcakes so they can show off their skills to friends and family!

  • Sept. 5, Week 1: American buttercream, rosettes, picots, grass
  • Sept. 12, Week 2: Shell borders, stars, leaves, carrots
  • Sept. 19, Week 3: Rose buds, roses bows
  • Sept. 26, Week 4: Putting it all together! Carrot cake cupcakes with grass, carrot and leaves. Rose cupcake with bow and picots and hydrangea cupcakes from stars.

*The supplies you will need to purchase for this class are Wilton Deluxe Decorating Tip Set (22 tips) and Wilton 12 inch Disposable Decorating Bags (50 count)

Puff Pastry Desserts

In this class you will learn how to make a traditional Paris Breast, Napoleons and participate in making Apple or Cherry Turnovers.

French Desserts

The Chef will demonstrate the preparation of lemon crêpes with sweetened ricotta and participate in the preparation of a country apple galette and a gâteau basque.

Delectable Cheesecakes

Learn how to make several styles of cheesecake desserts while the Chef demonstrates the procedures for pumpkin cheesecake, lemon cheesecake pie and a coconut key lime cheesecake dip.

Irresistible Chocolate Desserts

This class will teach you three very rich chocolate desserts for any occasion. The Chef will demonstrate how to make a salted caramel chocolate tart, chocolate espresso bundt cake with a dark chocolate cinnamon glaze and dark chocolate pâté with raspberry sauce.

Holiday Cookies

Assist the Chef in the preparation and rolling of soft almond cookies, biscotti regina and slice & bake lemon shortbread.
